I received a welcome addition to my bobblehead collection this weekend. The Boston Red Sox were kind enough to send The Bobblehead Blog the David Ortiz figurine they gave out for last Monday’s game against the Texas Rangers. Let me say this: It’s a great bobblehead. The Tampa Yankees are the only team in the league, out of 12, that has bobbleheads listed on its promotions schedule. However, four teams — the Jupiter Hammerheads, Lakeland Flying Tigers, Palm Beach Cardinals and St. Lucie Mets — have yet to release their promotions calendars. Hopefully there will be a few bobbleheads scattered among their dates. Continue reading
